Why HTC Generator

The gearboxes for multi-MW turbines are very heavy and have unresolved reliability issues. Generators for multi-MW direct drive nubines are typically large and heavy. Allowance for tolerances and deformations in large generators reduce the effectiveness of Permanent Magnet (PM) generators. In addition, the availability of rare earth materials may prevent direct drive PM generators from being cost effective. A smaller superconductor generator with a large air gap can replace a PM machine for direct dfive applications. Tolerance, deformation and material availability are no longer an issue.

SC Maglev Industries LLC / USA has completed the design of its Off shore turbine and is in official talks with potential partners (General Atomics, E Tesla) to build the machine & to create its Maglev Generator using (Permanent Magnet Generator & HTS direct drive Turbine with a Smaller Superconductor Generator)

The first (Permanent Magnet Generator & HTS direct drive Turbine with a Smaller Superconductor Generator) was ready to go and the generator had been tested and is using it today. Tolerance, deformation & material availability are no longer an issue, and the company was in discussions with blade manufacturers. Our new own Blades designs are ready, the company said.
The Machine has been in development since 2008 & is ready to be market staring 2013...
